In spite of the mediocre forecast, tomorrow’s Olivers Pond Sprint will be open for business as usual!

Remember this is an unsanctioned, uninsured event and participants are responsible for their own safety. If it is rainy and you’re not comfortable riding in the rain then come out for a swim and a run! Or just a swim! Or just a run! Or just to eat!!

Either way the fun will start 10am at Ann Marie’s home on Olivers Pond Road off Old Broad Cove Road. Donations for the Wiseman Center and/or Easter Seals gratefully accepted, and lots of food for everyone! And you need not be signed up to take part so spread the word to others.

Ironman 70.3 Newfoundland is a month away and organizers expect bigger and better this year!

Reminder that the 8K Run For Freedom is on this Saturday starting 10am in Riverhead, St.Mary’s Bay.

The Olivers Pond Sprint is this Saturday June 28 starting 10am.

The NLAA is looking for someone to set up the finish line arch and clock at upcoming road races.

Access to a small storage area and a truck or van would be helpful but not essential. Pay is $150 per event.

Celebrate the Canada Day holiday by participating in the Hbc Run For Canada. You can run 10k, watch the kids run 1k, take in a leisurely 3k walk, or volunteer to help out!

All participants and volunteers get a high quality technical t-shirt and a pancake breakfast, and every finisher gets an Olympic design medal.

The Molson 10K Road Race is 8:30am this Saturday June 21. Register at Toyota Plaza Kenmount Road tomorrow night Thursday June 19 from 6-9pm.
