Niagara Falls Marathon Results
Eight NL Runners completed the Niagara Falls Marathon this past weekend.

Ann Chafe Competes In Nairobi
Congratulations to Ann Chafe on completing yesterday’s Nairobi Half Marathon.

Prague Marathon Next Spring
Plans are now underway for a group of Newfoundland runners to train for and travel to the Czech Republic for the Prague International Marathon May 11, 2008. If you are interested in being part of this marathon group (16 runners so far), please contact Joe Ryan at josryan@nl.rogers.com or Karen O’Neill at koneill@nlh.nl.ca .
Optional weekend training runs start November 18 with the marathon training program beginning early January.
Cross Country Championships Saturday
The 2007 Provincial Cross Country Running Championships are this Saturday October 27 at the Rec Center on Torbay Road starting 9am. Volunteers are needed for course set-up and marshaling so if you have a couple of hours to give please drop by and see George.
Autism Fundraiser This Sunday
Don’t forget The Autism Society of Newfoundland 2nd annual fundraising run/walk this Sunday October 28. Starting at the Elaine Dobbin Center For Autism (Shamrock Farms behind the Health Science Center) runners do 2 loops of Long Pond 10:30am and walkers do 1 loop 10:45am.
Registration available at the Center For Autism 70 Clinch Crescent Friday 6-8pm and event morning 9-10am. Participant t-shirts and LOADS of excellent draw prizes! Fee is $25 or more in pledges … pledge forms available at the Running Room or the Autism Center.
