Run For Canada Just 12 Days Away !
The Hbc Run For Canada is ready to roll on Sunday July 1 in Bowring Park. The morning starts 8 am with a 10K road race down Waterford Bridge Road and back Southside Road. At 9:30 am there’s a 1K kids run followed at 10 am by a 3K family walk along the Waterford River.
Medals for all participants, bands, face painting, magic, a pancake breakfast, fancy t-shirts and much more. Sign up online HERE, and if you’re not participating why not VOLUNTEER!
McIlroy and Fewer 5K Champs
Congratulations to Caroline McIlroy (17:46) and Colin Fewer (15:02) on their respective victories at Sunday’s Provincial Downtown 5K road race. Results for all 118 finishers can be viewed HERE.
St. John’s Day 10K This Saturday
Be sure to be there for the 27th running of the St. John’s Athletic’s Molson Lite Timex 10K this Saturday June 23. Race starts 8:30 am by Scotia Center on Water Street with a reception to follow at City Hall.
Register in advance Thursday June 21 from 6-9 pm at Toyota Plaza Kenmount Road. Late registration race day 7:30 am at City Hall.

Olivers Pond Triathlon
Ann Marie counted about 70 heads in the water for Saturday’s 2nd Annual Olivers Pond Triathlon. Sunny and 25 degrees … couldn’t ask for a better day!

Downtown 5K Will Be Warm and Fast
Tomorrow’s Provincial Downtown 5K will see no winds and temperatures around 14 degrees.
Race starts 8:30 am near the Port Authority on Water Street East … race day registration 7:30 am at City Hall.
Run For Canada Dog Walk
As a lead-up to the July 1 Hbc Run For Canada, there will be a Dog Walk this Saturday June 16 in Bowring Park. Registration is $5 with all funds going to support Canada’s Olympic Athletes.
Meet by the swimming pool 1 pm for a 3K stroll along the Waterford River. Leashes required (for your dog)!
Downtown 5K Registration Tonight
The Provincial Downtown 5K is this Sunday June 17 at 8:30 am and registration is tonight from 6-9 pm at Toyota Plaza Kenmount Road.
Still Room With The Posse
The Trepassey Posse is getting ready to ride! Leaving from the Aquarena parking lot 9 am Saturday July 7 for a 194 mile 2 day round trip to Trepassey … on bike that is!
